TELEHEALTH / TELEMEDICINE:
Missionary Telemedicine Organization provides medical consultations by teleconference for missionaries when standard care is not available.
Ministry Medicine International offers telehealth services for non-emergency issues at a low cost to people serving in ministry.
Connecting Kids With Care has developed a smartphone app to enable missionaries to connect with medical professionals in the US when they are sick and have questions on when to seek treatment, or to discuss a diagnosis or treatment plan they have been given.
In addition to the above organizations offering telemedical consultations, Good Neighbor Insurance has a free 60 page guide on travel medicine and medical concerns. The booklet can be requested through their website.
