While serving as a missionary in Moscow, Russia, in 1994-1995, and in Devon and Cornwall in the UK in 2000-2014, Meg Pechonis saw a need for informational resources to be made available to missionaries in her church movement. Between serving in ministry, supporting her husband, and raising and home educating her four children, she never imagined that she could do anything to meet this need.

After her husband went home to the Lord, Meg was given a vision for a website that could be a resource center. Every individual or family that is sent out needs to research independently many of the same issues from health insurance for expats to education options for their children to ministry materials that are suitable for use in another culture. If much of this research work can be done for them and made readily accessible to them, it will save them time, which can then be better used ministering in the capacity that the Lord has called them. It can also allow them to be more prepared before going out onto the field, putting them in a better position to persevere and remain on the field long term.

Thus the vision for Calvary Missions Resource Connection was born in January, 2015. The website went live in June, 2016, and exists to assist and inform missionaries and missions sending pastors.
