COUNSELING MATERIALS:

The Biblical Counseling Foundation produces the counseling materials, Self-Confrontation, as well as other materials, and they run courses in biblical discipleship and counseling. They offer a deep discount for non-US orders.

The Christian Counseling and Education Foundation provides resources to assist in a wide variety of counseling situations as well as online courses to train Christian counselors. 

Care Corps International is a "crisis care education resource ministry for caregivers in places of crisis, war, and disaster," providing crisis care education by sending teams to work with care givers already serving in the crisis-stricken area.

The website of the American Association of Christian Counselors contains information on books and courses (both online and dvd) to develop skills in Christian counseling. 

The Trauma Healing Institute of the American Bible Society offers "training, resources, and support to help the Church respond to trauma in communities around the world."

Quick Scripture Reference for Counseling - This book is available from Amazon, CBD, and other major retailers. In addition to the original edition of this book, there are several focused on various groups including for men, for women, and for youth. It is also available in e-book format from CBD.

How People Change by Timothy S. Lane and Paul David Tripp

How People Change was written "to help you understand how God meets you and changes you in the middle of life's joys and sorrows." It examines the gap in our grasp of the gospel and looks at counterfeit theories of change that masquerade as biblical wisdom and contrasts these with true biblical change based on God's grace and the power of the Holy Spirit.
